Who we are
Local Farm Box has been created by lifelong friends Ian Manix and John Ward.
Ian is the 4th generation in his family business Edd's Greengrocers in Braunton, and has over 20 years experience himself with buying, selling and delivering fruits, vegetables and other produce to the catering trade - pubs, restaurants, hotels, schools, and shops. What Ian doesn't know about about this trade you could write on the back of... a carrot! Ian is married to Lisa (the local dentist in Braunton) and keeps busy outside of work controlling his adorable children - Ellie and George. Ian's a keen surfer of Croyde, Woolacombe and Saunton, and can be often seen carving through the waves (and novice visiting surfers!) on his longboard! Ian's always been a keen sportsman, and has made it his mission to get on his bike more regularly - and maybe regain some of the old glory!
John's backround is in IT, the Internet industry in particular. He has swapped his life on the road to something he sees as far more rewarding and worthwhile, and a chance to lay roots in the area where he grew up. John's a keen - and on the rare occasion competitive - runner, and can often be seen running his favourite places - namely, the Braunton Burrows and the Coast Path from Baggy Point to Woolacombe.
